Mridangham

The mridangham is a double-sided drum from India. It is usually made of one piece of wood, and has a barrel shape with an offset bulge, which makes the right side face smaller than the left. There are some cool origin stories for this instrument, such as Nandikeshwara stories with regards to how the instrument came to be.
